China – Malaysia Joint Issue Stamp Image released (China Post version) 中马建交五十周年 中国邮政

A joint issue is believed to be in the cards for the upcoming 50th Anniversary of Malaysia – China Diplomatic Relations. China Post (中国邮政) has released the images to the stamp collecting community however they are in Chinese. However the summary is:

There will be 2 stamps of Chinese Yuan (RMB) 1.20 each. The designs are: Pine Tree (representing China) and Merbau (representing Malaysia).

The title on the full sheet is “The 50th Anniversary of China – Malaysia Diplomatic Relations” (中马建交五十周年) and it is stated as China – Malaysia Joint Issue (中国—马来西亚联合发行).

We can only hope if China Post sends stamps, covers and postmarking to Malaysia for the joint issue to make the event more meaningful. The clock is ticking…. less than 2 weeks to go.
