Here is the latest Malaysia Stamp Issue Programme Schedule dated 07 May 2019. Do remember to update your calendar. Information is always confirmed nearer the date of issue.
Relax and just open a SODA account. Most collectors are non-concordanist, thus there is very little planning required other than to know when to show up if you prefer to do your own, OR open a Standing Order Deposit Account (SODA) which is an easier way not to miss a single issue.
Well, finally, this is what you have been waiting for, the updated stamp programme:
With that is the confirmation that the Places of Worship Series 2 will be on sale on Monday, 13 May 2019. Stay tuned for more information nearer the date of issue.
The schedule now shows the 150 Years of Sarawak Stamps. It should be an interesting issue. It seems that Combating Wildlife Cybercrime has changed to Conservation of Wildlife.
Noticeable not in the schedule are the Seashell, Wild Flowers, Dying Trade, Folk Tales and Parrot! However an interesting Joint Issue with Romania is in the cards! We have not had a joint issue in quite a while.
Meanwhile it is time to update your own calendar. Remember the operative word is: Tentative!
What do you think of the new schedule?
Here is a reminder for tomorrow: 09 April 2019 Honey Bees in Malaysia issue!

A poster was displayed at the Fournation Stamp Exhibition 2019 with the theme Honey Bees in Malaysia. The official notification came out today from Pos Malaysia and it will be released on 09 April 2019.
The poster featured the stamps in a Honey Comb design (hexagonal) with the Miniature Sheet featured in an awesome die cut of a honey bee. I am sure the “unusual” stamp and MS collectors will be very pleased with the design of this issue.
The poster gave information on the stamp issue as follows:
- 60 sen stamp : Giant Honey Bee (Apis dorsata)
- 60 sen stamp: Eastern Honey Bee (Apis cerana)
- 60 sen stamp: Black Dwarf Honey Bee (Apis andreniformis)
- RM 4.00 Miniature Sheet: Stingless Honey Bee (Heterotrigona itama)
- 50 sen empty envelope featuring the Stingless Honey Bee Hive
- RM 6.00 empty folder
This is indeed a very attractive design. Here is the price list.

The DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Series 3 special sheetlet in vertical format was initially printed for the 2017 Annual Album. https://myfdc.me/2018/10/03/soda-additional-order-form-for-annual-album-and-ets-overprint-setenant-sheet/
Today, Pos Malaysia is making the sheetlet available for Standing Order Deposit Account (SODA) members via an Order Form. Download and print the following image and fax or email to Pos Malaysia.
The closing date is 11 March 2019 and this is sufficient time to send in the order.
The Series 3 sheetlet was originally issued in a horizontal format on 11 September 2017 at RM 37.10 with GST. It was a very hot item and the sheetlets sold in a folder with an envelope were sold out by 10:10 am. The hardest to find are the First Day Covers as not many were made due to the high cost.
Thus this time it is an affordable RM 19.00.

Finally, I received the confirmation from Pos Malaysia that the Fournation Stamp Exhibition will be held in Kuala Lumpur in the Kuala Lumpur General Post Office.
The event will be held in the Main Lobby (Stamp Dealers), Stamp Gallery of the Philatelic Bureau Headquarters (Pos Malaysia sales) and Dewan Sri Pos (Stamp Exhibition).
The event will be held from 29 – 31 March 2019 from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm.
There will be a special Overprint Miniature Sheet (details will be released later) on 29 March 2019. Heard some loud buzz today from many parties that 30 March might see something too. Hmmm… the suspense if building.
PSM is also making the envelopes for the event.
For those who are keen to take part, contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Homework: Prepare your Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia stamps! There has been a buzz that a fifth country was invited! Hmmm…
Anyway, I have not received any news of those who confirmed attendance. Perhaps if any of our foreign readers from Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia who might know something can provide the information?
See you there!
