21 January 2009: Unique Birds of Malaysia

In a break from the special cancellations, I am featuring the following FDCs cancelled in Kuala Lumpur for the error on the MS. The word Malaysia was not printed on the MS!

03 February 2009: Silver Jubilee of the Sultan of Perak

This FDC was cancelled in Ipoh and Dewan Bandaran Ipoh. Note the different notation for February on the date stamp. Ipoh’s cancellation is ” 02″ whereas Dewan Bandaran Ipoh is “2” on the date format.

This FDC was cancelled in the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar. This cover also use “2” on the date format.

23 March 2009: Traditional Wedding Costumes

This FDC was cancelled in Miri where there is a sizable population of Orang Ulu.

09 April 2009: World Heritage Sites

This FDC was cancelled in Miri (the closest access point into Mulu National Park).

10 April 2009: China 2009 World Stamp Exhibition

I have 2 versions of the exhibition FDC.

The first FDC was cancelled with the Pos Malaysia China 2009 cachet as well as the Philatelic Exhibition Day cancellation in Luo Yang (location of the exhibition).

The second FDC was cancelled with the Pos Malaysia China 2009 cachet as well as the Luoyang Henan FDC cancellation and signed by the designer (Teh Yew Kiang).

20 April 2009: Engineering Excellence in Nation Building

This FDC was cancelled in Kuala Lumpur as well as the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia’s private cancels. A set of the stamps and FDC is displayed in the new IEM Building in Petaling Jaya.

09 July 2009: Traditional Houses

These FDCs were cancelled with the respective State’s capital cancellation corresponding to the State’s local house. The cancels are Shah Alam, Kota Kinabalu, Ipoh, Kota Bharu, Kuching, Kuantan, Johor Bahru, Alor Star, Kuala Terengganu, Seremban, Pulau Pinang, Kangar and Melaka.

30 July 2009: PHILAKOREA 2009

This exhibition FDC was cancelled with the Pos Malaysia exhibition cachet as well as the PHILAKOREA Seoul CPO cachet and first day of exhibition cancellation.

31 August 2009: 1 Malaysia

These FDCs were cancelled with the Pasar Seni and Kuala Lumpur cancellations. Pasar Seni (Central Market) was the launch site of the issue.

This composite FDC was cancelled in Kuching.

03 September 2009: The First Malaysian Submarine

This FDC was cancelled in Kota Kinabalu. The submarine is based in the Royal Malaysian Navy Naval Base in Teluk Sepanggar, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

09 September 2009: Energy Efficient Buildings

This FDC was cancelled in Bandar Baru Bangi and Putrajaya corresponding to the locations of the buildings.

26 October 2009: Installation Negeri Sembilan

This FDC was cancelled in Sri Menanti.

07 December 2009: Stamp Week ’09 Arachnid

These FDCs were cancelled in Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall as well as the Stamp Week 2009 cachet.

These covers were cancelled with all the daily cancellations as well as the Stamp Week 2009 cachet.
