The Early Collector Catches the First Birds – National Hornbill Day in KL Bird Park with Pos Malaysia

10 November 2024: As I am writing this, the sky started to clear again. It was a really wet start to the morning in the KL Bird Park.

Fortunately by the time Pos Malaysia came to set up the booth the sky started to clear. Here they are!

Collectors came as far as Johor, Melaka and Sungai Petani and one even came back from Sabah on time to buy this issue.

Here are the collectors busy creating their personalised masterpiece. It was fun to meet so many that we only chat on FB groups. This makes the event more personalised!

Initially there was only one desk for the collectors, soon another was opened up and the collectors even spilled over to the cafe… ooopssss. KL Bird Park was very accommodating and had some spill over business on postcards and hornbills!

The rain returned shortly in the afternoon. Right now as I finished this article, the rain has stopped.
