Well if all goes as planned, the next issue is supposed to be on 22 August 2023 with the celebration of the Centenary of the Penang Hill Funicular. Funny Pos Malaysia calls it Railway in the translation but the Bahasa Malaysia version is Funikular.. which is why I find it funny…. cute leh!
Anyway the official website in Penang also has the logo as Penang Hill Railway. Technically Funicular is a form of rail. So there, let the semantics run its course or discourse.
So the Penang Philatelic Society has designed special commemorative covers retailing at RM 1.20 each. Buy 10 at only RM 10!
If you want Pos Laju it is RM 5 (until 15 August 2023 only). Otherwise COD in Penang!

Well I am sure by the end of the year when there is a Stamp Fair, many will bring the covers to the PJ Stamp Fair!

Really excited for this release, since I’ve been stocking up some funicular postcards to send out. Personally, I hope they’re under 90 sen so I can use them for the postcards.
