It has been a long time since a post dated released was done. This time the National Day and Malaysia Day stamp issue was changed to Malaysia Day with a cancellation date of 16 September 2023 but released only on 18 September 2023. It does take the excitement out of sending Malaysia Day postcards and cover initially slated on the 14th of September 2023.
It is however friendly on the pocket with only a single RM 1.30 stamp featuring the various costumes of Malaysians and the Malaysia MADANI logo. If interest is that the Merdeka 118 Tower makes its second appearance on the cover!

Hi! Is it known if we’ll be able to chop the 16th September date on the 18th for the FDCs?
The special cancellations (pictorials) from the Philatelic Bureau branches (usually in State GPOs) will be 16 September 2023. However if you are using the circular cancellation (normal postmark) it will be 18 September 2023.

Does that mean that the new stamps would be available for purchase at state GPOs on the 16th to make FDCs? I’m quite confused on the thing
The post offices will not be open on weekends and Public Holidays. Thus nothing is on sale. This has been the case for postdated stamp releases.
