Here is the latest Malaysia Stamp Issue Programme Schedule dated 07 May 2019. Do remember to update your calendar. Information is always confirmed nearer the date of issue.
Relax and just open a SODA account. Most collectors are non-concordanist, thus there is very little planning required other than to know when to show up if you prefer to do your own, OR open a Standing Order Deposit Account (SODA) which is an easier way not to miss a single issue.
Well, finally, this is what you have been waiting for, the updated stamp programme:
With that is the confirmation that the Places of Worship Series 2 will be on sale on Monday, 13 May 2019. Stay tuned for more information nearer the date of issue.
The schedule now shows the 150 Years of Sarawak Stamps. It should be an interesting issue. It seems that Combating Wildlife Cybercrime has changed to Conservation of Wildlife.
Noticeable not in the schedule are the Seashell, Wild Flowers, Dying Trade, Folk Tales and Parrot! However an interesting Joint Issue with Romania is in the cards! We have not had a joint issue in quite a while.
Meanwhile it is time to update your own calendar. Remember the operative word is: Tentative!
What do you think of the new schedule?
Here is the second release of the stamp programme with a much extended list of issues.
Expected between now and 19 February 2019 is the installation of the Sultan of Pahang stamps. Will we see another Pahang State Wild Orchids definitive? Will there be another special Yamg Dipertuan Agong sheetlet? So many questions!
As usual, keep a look out for the updates.
What do you think of this year’s programme?
With 2 hours to go, what is the Market determined price for the Malaysia Day Setenant Sheet?
It has already passed the RM 100 mark just shy of 50% above what resellers are pegging the sheetlet.

All Bundle Offers will end on 30 November 2018.
myfdc has been renewed for the 7th year. When it first started, the readership per day is hardly 10. It grew steadily especially after the Royal Visit in 2012. It is self funded and I rely on your support through FDC purchases to continue the site.
myfdc was initially set up to create awareness on concordant First Day Covers. It has moved to provide timely and important information to support concordancy. The fringe benefit is that the information is also useful to the general collecting public of Malaysian Philately. myfdc relies on information shared by Pos Malaysia and the kinder sharing readers. Information which is timely is useful. Information which is old is just coffeeshop talk and of no value. I think you know how it is. myfdc will also only publish once the facts have been reasonably confirmed. Though there are last minute changes (which you can get a faster input at myfdc Malaysia Facebook page); by and large myfdc has been able to provide the information on time.
By the end of today, myfdc will hit 590,000 views. I will run specials leading to 600,000 views expected sometime in January 2019!
myfdc has been sending freebies on a flash basis, competitions, quiz, philatelic trips (for those who took up the offer) and various really great offers for high market price items at affordable (collectors’) prices. I hope to be able to continue this with your support.
Meanwhile to kick-start the 7th year; here is another RM 1 below face value plus FREE normal mail: https://www.ebay.com.my/itm/283277592552
It is this year’s super HOT Malaysia Day setenant strip sheet. ONLY 1 sheet will be available for this deal via my eBay link. It is very hard to get the setenant during the Stamp Week queue and I am saving it for this promotion. Miss this and you can get it from dealers at RM 200 :-), you choice.
Happy bidding and many thanks for reading myfdc!

Meanwhile, a last minute announcement of an overprint of the ETS issue was made. The overprint stamps are on sale in the International Banknote & Stamp Fair in 1st Avenue on the 8th Floor in Penang. A total of 5,000 pieces were printed, i.e. 250 sheets. News from the site was Pos Malaysia is selling 10 envelope per person but the stamps will be available at 02:00 pm after the launching. Each person was limited to buying 4 sets.
There will be 3 days of cancellations.
It was an extremely slow day today. Most regulars turned up. However the numbers were low.
One of the cancellations in Kuala Lumpur had a jagged edge rather than a smooth oval. Take a look:
The designer was not able to attend. He will be coming over in the next issue (World Post Day) to autograph the products. That should be 09 October 2017.
Today is another rare day without any setenants being sold. In its place, the Bandung Malaysia Serama was on sale. The response was again very slow. I believe the collectors have reached purchasing fatigue.
A Special Order form for the Straits Settlements issue was also released.
A set of Melaka cancellation FDC, Penang cancellation FDC and Straits Settlements Setenant retails at RM 12.50.
The Singapore FDC is sold at RM 25.00. Take note that the Singapore FDC image shown on the order form was an early design. The postmark has since changed. Here is the design circulating on the web for quite sometime:
The final cancellation has the word “150th” in the shape of the old postmark. Here is an actual personalised Singapore FDC with the actual cancellations.
The prices shown are before GST.
Feel free to download the form, fill in and fax in the order. It is for Standing Order Deposit Account (SODA) members only.
