This is an interesting cover as the stamps used are Singapore stamps which was still valid for use in Malaysia at that time.

This cover was cancelled in Sibu on the first day of exhibition.
01 – 07 December 1970: Penang PESTA ’70 Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled with the Pameran Setem Pulau Pinang and Pulau Pinang cancellations on the first day of exhibition as well as the Posted at Pesta ’70 Stamp Exhibition cachet on the reverse.
14 – 27 December 1970: 1st Malaysian Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled with a Kuala Lumpur cancellation on the first day of exhibition as well as an exhibition cachet.
09 – 24 September 1972: Silver Jubilee STAMPEX
This exhibition card was cancelled with a Kuala Lumpur cancellation on the first day of exhibition as well as an exhibition cachet.
19 – 20 October 1974: The Third Sarawak Philatelic Society Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled with a Sibu cancellation on the first day of exhibition along with the exhibition cachet.

This cover was cancelled with the Travelling Post Office (TPO) cancellation on the first day of exhibition along with the exhibition cachet. Note the letters are in red for the title and also a thicker paper for the envelope.

This cover was cancelled with a Kuala Lumpur cancellation on the first day of exhibition along with a 25th Anniversary of UNPA 1976 Kuala Lumpur cachet.
24 – 31 December 1977: Malaysian Stampex 77
This cover was cancelled in Kuala Lumpur on the first day of exhibition along with the exhibition cachet. The cover is signed by the Deputy Minister of Communications, YB Mohd. Ali M. Shariff.
12 – 21 July 1978: Exhibition of Commonwealth Postage Stamps
This cover was cancelled with a Kuala Lumpur cancellation on the 3rd day of exhibition. I am still looking for a decent cover cancelled on the first day. There is also an exhibition cachet.
18 – 20 October 1980: Sarawak Philatelic Society 5th Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled in Riverine on the first day of exhibition along with the Sarawak Philatelic Society’s 1oth Anniversary cachet.
20 – 21 December 1980: PSM Penang Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled on the second day of exhibition along with the exhibition cachet.

16 – 17 May 1981: Stamp Exhibition at Komplex Tun Abdul Razak Johor Bahru
No official cover was issued. there was an exhibition cachet. There are pre-stamped postcards made during the exhibition cancelled at the Komplex Tun Abdul Razak Post Office.
18 January – 07 February 1982: Chinese Art, Calligraphy and Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled with a Parlimen Kuala Lumpur cancellation along with the exhibition cachet.
11 – 12 December 1982: PSM Pameran Setem 82
Image not available. No official cover was issued. There was only an exhibition cachet.
05 – 20 November 1983: Pameran Setem Malaysia 83
Image is not available, I am still searching for a first day of exhibition cancellation. There is a cachet issued for the exhibition in Muzium Negara. No special cancellations (normal Kuala Lumpur postmark). Usually found on PSM issued Stamp Postcard no. 4.
13 – 15 May 1984: Pameran Setem Teluk Intan 84
Image is not available, I am still searching for a first day of exhibition cancellation. Normal Teluk Intan postmark. Usually found on a PSM issued Stamp Postcard no. 5.
26 May – 10 June 1984: Chinese Stamp, Books & Brush Paintings Exhibition
This cover was cancelled on the second day of the exhibition with a Pulau Pinang cancellation. The cachet was applied on the China stamp on the same cover.
At the same exhibition, a set of 2 exhibition cards were also issued. Of interest is the reverse of the card where the name of the exhibition, exhibition dates, organiser and venue were cancelled and new details printed alongside.
09 – 24 March 1985: ASEANPEX 85
This cover was cancelled with the ASEANPEX 85 cancellation on the first day of exhibition.
This cover was cancelled with a slogan cancellation on the last day of exhibition.

This cover was cancelled with a slogan cancel in Pulau Pinang on the first day of exhibition promoting PENPEX ’85 along with the Posted at PENPEX ’85 cachet.
This cover was cancelled on the second day of exhibition with a Pulau Pinang cancellation along with the Posted at PENPEX ’85 cachet.
This cover was cancelled with a slogan cancel in Pulau Pinang on the last day of exhibition promoting PENPEX ’85 along with the See You at Bicentenary Stamp Exhibition 1986 cachet. I have not seen the Bicentenary Stamp Exhibition 1986. Was it ever held? If any has this information, I will be glad to update this posting.
24 – 25 November 1985: 6th Philatelic & Numismatic Exhibition (Kuching)
This cover was issued by The Sarawak Philatelic and Numismatic Society and cancelled in Kuching on the first day of exhibition along with the society’s 15th Anniversary cachet.
07 – 08 December 1985: 6th Philatelic & Numismatic Exhibition (Sibu)
This cover was issued by The Sarawak Philatelic and Numismatic Society and cancelled in Sibu on the first day of exhibition along with the society’s 15th Anniversary cachet. This the second venue of the exhibition.
21 – 25 December 1985: Perak Philatelic and Numismatic Exhibition ’85
This cover was issued by the Persatuan Philatelik dan Numismatik Perak and cancelled in Ipoh on the first day of exhibition along with an exhibition cachet.
21 – 30 November 1986: Exhibition of the Chinese Courier History in Kuala Lumpur
A souvenir cover was issued by the China National Philatelic Corporation along with an exhibition cachet on a Cinderella sheet.
05 – 07 December 1986: YMCA Stamp Club Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled on the first day of exhibition with a Pulau Pinang cancellation along with a YMCA Stamp Club Day cachet. It was signed by the organizer. Anyone who has information on the signatory, do drop me a note.

18 – 21 December 1986: Pesta Setem ’86
This cover was cancelled on the first day of exhibition with a Pulau Pinang cancellation along with a Hari Pesta Pulau Pinang (Penang Festival Day) cachet.
17 – 26 April 1987: Exhibition of the Precious Animal Specimens from China, Stamps and Books
This cover was cancelled with the exhibition cachet (blue).
This cover was cancelled with a slogan postmark “Pameran Setem oleh Persatuan Setem MTE Pulau Pinang 17 HB – 27 HB APRIL 1987” on the last day of exhibition (26 April 1987). There is also an exhibition cachet (blue) and a last day exhibition cachet (red). The souvenir cover is also signed by Dr Koh Tsu Koon (Chief Minister of Penang at that time).
The back of the cover is Dr Koh Tsu Koon’s rubber stamp and the Penang Chinese Town Hall Library rubber stamp.
18 – 19 April 1987: FIAP Mini Asian Stampex 87
This cover was cancelled on the first day of exhibition with the Pulau Pinang cancellation along with the FIAP Mini Asian Stampex 87 cachet.
22 July 1987: Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar (English) Johor Bahru College Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled in Johor Bahru. The dates of the exhibition is the speech day. DYMM YDPA Sultan Iskandar is an old boy of the school and graced the speech day.

This Pre-Stamped Envelope was cancelled on the first day of exhibition with the Menara Maybank Kuala Lumpur daily cancellation.

This cover was cancelled on the first day of exhibition with the SELPEX 90 Shah Alam cancellation. The cover is actually a Pre-Stamped Envelope featuring an unreleased design of the Agro Definitive.

This aerogramme was cancelled with the exhibition cachet.
18 – 27 October 1991: Pameran Filateli Remaja ’91
This cover was cancelled on the first day of exhibition with the Hari Perasmian cancellation. 10 post boxes (one for each day’s cancellation) were set up for visitors to send covers. Sadly one of my covers did not reach me whereas another had the stamp damaged (someone tried to tear out the stamp while in transit!). I had to buy replacements.

SPRINTPAK cinderella cover (2 types) cancelled with a non-postal cancellation. In fact Pos Malaysia had these machines. However the use of the machines were discontinued after a short time. At one point in time, the machine could be seen at the Philatelic Bureau!

This FDC was cancelled in Stadium Bukit Jalil along with the Stamp Week ’01 on the day of issue. The imperforate miniature sheet was released on 17 November 2001.
On the same day an imperforate souvenir stamp was also issued. This is the FDC with the imperforate souvenir stamp affixed. Note the different shade of the miniature sheet.
22 – 23 December 2001: Penang Philatelic Society Stamp Fair
This cover was cancelled with the Penang Philatelic Society Stamp Fair cachet and 20th Anniversary cachet.

3 daily cancellations were available during the exhibition organised by the Philatelic Society of Kuching, Sarawak. 3 exhibition postcards were also issued.

This FDC was supposed to be cancelled in Miri. On closer inspection, I believe that the cancellation is an inkjet. This is probably a fake FDC made to the likeness of the Stamp Week cancellations. I acquired this in the open market.

This is a special contest cover. A contest to guess the number of stamps in a display was organised during the exhibition. Blank envelopes were provided at the exhibition site. This contest cover is cancelled with the cachets at the exhibition as well as the Children’s Pets first day of issue cancellation.
12 – 18 February 2011: INDIPEX 2011
The perforated and imperforated INDIPEX overprinted miniature sheets on covers were cancelled with the Pos Malaysia INDIPEX 2011 cachet. The India stamp was cancelled with Mahatma Gandhi, New Delhi cancellation on the first day of exhibition.

28 July – 02 August 2011: PHILANIPPON ’11
These covers were cancelled with the Pos Malaysia exhibition cachet along with the Japan first day of exhibition daily cancel on the Japan stamp. The first cover’s cancellation is the special daily pictorial cancel (the design changes every day) of the Yokohama Central Post Office. The second cover’s cancel is the standard daily exhibition cancel (the design is the same, only the date is changed).

These covers were cancelled with the first day of issue cancellation as well as Taman Setiawangsa cancellation (the post office at the exhibition). Pos Indonesia’s first day of participation cancellation is on the Indonesia stamp. There are 2 cachets from Pos Malaysia and Pos Indonesia.
These covers were cancelled with Pos Indonesia first day of issue cancellation as well as country and exhibition cachet. A Pos Malaysia exhibition cachet is also included.
These covers include a Malaysia stamp cancelled on the first day of issue and the Taman Setiawangsa first day of issue cancellation.
20 – 22 March 2013: Kedah Royal Stamp Exhibition
The covers were cancelled with the exhibition cachet. The exhibition was supposed to be held together with the Postal History of Kedah issue. However the exhibition was postponed to 2013.
Look carefully at the wordings on the overprint logo. It reads as “100 Tahun Setem Kedah & 125 Tahun Perkhidmatan Pos Di Kedah” or “100 Years of Kedah Stamp Issue & 125 Years of Postal Service in Kedah” which is the subject of the Postal History of Kedah issued on 20 December 2012.
This cover is released by the Philatelic Society of Malaysia. The cover is cancelled in Alor Setar together with the exhibition cachet. An exhibition souvenir book is included with the cover.

23 – 25 August 2013: Tri-nation 3rd Stamp Exhibition
These FDCs were cancelled in Kuala Lumpur along with the exhibition cachets from Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Affixed on the covers are Singapore 2015 stamp cancelled with the E1 exhibition cancellation. In addition there are also 3 daily cancels from Pos Indonesia (Yogyakrata) – 2 of the cancels are at the back of the envelope. The FDCs were also signed by the designer of the miniature sheet along with the Hazel Design Sdn Bhd cancel.

13 – 19 November 2013: Stamp Week 2013
This year, the Stamp Week turned into another patriotic exhibition (sort of an extension to the St John and ARCH series). This was due to the postponement (note: this was finally cancelled) of the controversial Visit Malaysia 2014 issue.
This cover was cancelled with all the cancels from the Stamp Week and Stamp Week 2013 cachet as well as the Berjaya Times Square first day of issue cancellation (not shown – at the back of the cover).

Here is a postal slogan cancel on the 14th of November 2013. The slogan was not available on 13 November 2013. The slogan is not available everyday. The other 4 daily cancels are at the back of the envelope.

27 – 30 November 2013: Sabah State Library 50 Years Malaysia Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled with the daily cancels as well as the exhibition cachet. The rubber stamps were damaged by someone in order to prevent others from making good covers. This is a very sad incident in Malaysian philatelic history.


23 March – 08 April 2014: Raja Tun Uda Library 50 Years Malaysia Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled with two exhibition cachets. There is an additional PPAS cancellation.
09 May – 08 June 2014: PERZIM 50 Years Malaysia Stamp Exhibition
This cover was cancelled with the Jalan Laksamana and PERZIM Melaka cancellations on the day of launch (21 May 2014) as well as the 22 May 2014 cancellation. There is also a Muzium Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam cancellation.
30 May – 01 June 2014: 4 Nations Stamp Show Bandung 2014
This PSM cover was cancelled on the first day of the 4 Nations Stamp Show with the Pos Malaysia, Pos Indonesia and Singapore Post cancellations on the respective country’s stamp. There is an exhibition cachet on the back.

20 – 22 June 2014: Perak Stamp Exhibition
This is the souvenir cover for the exhibition cancelled with the Perak cachets (in blue) and Pos Malaysia cachets and the first day of exhibition cancellations. There is also a UTC Ipoh Perak cancellation. UTC Ipoh is the location of the exhibition and the post office is inside the same floor of the exhibition. The pink Bougainvillea envelope was issued on 20 June 2014 (first day).

13 – 28 September 2014: 50 Years of Malaysia on Stamps and Postcards
This cover was cancelled on the first day of exhibition along with the cachet on the cover produced by the Penang Philatelic Society.

24 October 2014: SJK (C) Tai Thung Love Malaysia Stamp Exhibition
The exhibition cover was cancelled with all the 7 cancellations made available at the school. The exhibition was held for only a day.
05 November 2014: World Youth Stamp Exhibition 2014
This is a pre-issue for the World Stamp Exhibition 2014. This cover was cancelled with the Kuala Lumpur and KLCC cancellations as well as the Suria KLCC circular cancellation.
01 – 06 December 2014: World Youth Stamp Exhibition 2014
These covers were cancelled with the first day of issue cancellations from KLCC, Suria KLCC and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. There are also matching exhibition cancellations matching the daily theme of the exhibition and the exhibition cache. All the covers were autographed by the respective designers.
As the post offices were closed on 06 December 2014 (being the first Saturday of the month), a Post Automated Machine (PAM) Label issued on the same day is affixed on the back of the cover.

Croatia issued the commemorative postcard back in Croatia and only sent an official cachet via Philatelic Society Malaysia to be used in the exhibition.

Royal Mail issued a customised personalised stamp sheet (Smilers) for the event. However, Royal Mail did not attend the exhibition. Here are FDCs made in Windsor using the cut up personalised stamp sheet.
Cuba Post purportedly released a set of stamps and MS to commemorate Malaysia 2014 on 30 July 2014! It was a poorly done job as the country’s name was not even spelt correctly (Malasia). It is more of a Cinderella issue.

These covers were cancelled with the Pos Malaysia exhibition cachet as well as the Singapore Post first day of exhibition cancellation and the Singapore Post exhibition cachet.

04 – 06 December 2015: Four Nation Stamp Exhibition
This exhibition cover was cancelled with the daily cancellations of Malaysia and Singapore along with the Malaysia and Thailand exhibition cachets and Indonesia first day cancellation. The KLCC, Melaka and Jalan Laksamana cancellations are at the back of the envelope.
This is the Indonesia Exhibition FDC with the first day of issue cancellation and the Singapore and Malaysia stamps with the first day cancellations and Thailand and Malaysia exhibition cachets. The original Pos Indonesia envelope was issued with Rp 3000 stamp. The Rp 2500 stamp was added for completeness.
21 – 31 March 2016: Kuala Kangsar Stamp and Philately Exhibition
This exhibition cover was cancelled with the first day cover cancellation for the Perak Definitive along with the Kuala Kangsar Public Library and Ipoh Stamp Collectors Group cachets. The cover was produced by the Ipoh Stamp Collectors Group.
10 – 15 August 2016: Thailand 2016
This cover was cancelled with the Pos Malaysia exhibition cachet as well as Thailand Post first day of exhibition cancellation, an exhibition post office cancellation, Nonthaburi Post Office cancellation as well as the exhibition cachet. The exhibition was held in Nonthaburi and the actual datestamp was brought over to the exhibition mail desk on the afternoon of the first day of exhibition.

These exhibition covers were cancelled with the Singapore Post first day of exhibition cancellation as well as the Singapore and Malaysia exhibition cachets. There were 3 long covers and one large cover issued for the event.
01 – 07 October 2016: Stamp Week 2016
This cover was cancelled with the 7 days cancellations, the actual first day cancellation from UTC Pudu as well as the Stamp Week and Malaysia Postcrossing Meetup cachets. The cover was autographed by the Group CEO of Pos Malaysia, Dato’ Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh and the designer, Mr KY Lim.
This cover is made with the regular stamps from sheets of 100s. It is autographed by the designer, Mr KY Lim.

21 – 23 October 2016: Dr Wu Lien Teh Stamp Exhibition and Fair
This cover was cancelled with the Pulau Pinang, Penang Free School Jalan Masjid Negeri, POW Sungai Petani and Penang Free School official cancellations along with the Penang Philatelic Society Dr Wu Lien Teh Stamp Exhibition and Fair cachet. The cover was autographed by Mr Teh Lai Heng, the Penang Assemblyman for KOMTAR during the official opening ceremony on 22 October 2016.

This cover was cancelled in Jalan Othman, the nearest post office to the Malaysia National Stamp Exhibition 2016 venue (Petaling Jaya Community Library), the 3 daily cancellations and the exhibition cachet.

03 August 2017: Bandung 2017
This cover was cancelled with the Pos Malaysia exhibition cachet as well as the Pos Indonesia first day of exhibition cancellation, Bandung Filateli cancellation as well as the Pos Indonesia exhibition cachet. The Bandung Filateli cancellation was only available from 07:00 pm to 09:00 pm. The cover was also autographed by the designer, Mr. KY Lim.

Here the cover made using Pos Malaysia’s envelope with a Cambodia stamp cancelled with the Cambodia Post exhibition cachet including the Pos Malaysia first day cancellations for the Stamp Week and Stamp Week cachet. The Cambodia Post cachet is scarce as no one expected them to leave so early.
