The journey of 1000 Li starts with the first step…or the English saying the Journey of 1000 Miles starts with the first step and the first step is to the Kuala Lumpur General Post Office where the Philatelic Bureau HQ is based.
The queue was much healthier for this issue. There were journalists from Xinhua and China Press – I managed to come out on a few of the press!
Then it was off to the next stop to match the 50th Anniversary LOGO which features the Petronas Twin Towers in KLCC! Next stop KLCC Post Office!
I could not resist making a personalised Miniature Sheet!!!
After having matched this it was time for the long drive to the MOST sought after cancellation from the Lubok China Post Office. This is the ONLY post office that has the word CHINA in the name (and town)!
Then it is to Melaka General Post Office. Melaka has a meaningful match. It is one of the earliest recorded trade with China and the official state to host the celebrations. Thus with these it made a nice match.
