Malaysia Stamp Errors, Mistakes, Recalls and Unissued Issues!

The Royal Visit (Prince William & Kate) error woke up many dormant collectors (I will use philatelist for those who are really into philately which is getting rare) on the bustling scene of Malaysian philatelic errors. Good or bad? I guess it just spices things up.

I thought it would be fun to share some of the common errors, mistakes, recalls and unissued stamps and covers in the modern Malaysian Philatelic scene. The list is not exhaustive as I have excluded the occasional imperforates that pops up every once in a while. I have also excluded the watermark inverted not inverted, etc. as I found that too tedious to track (you need a lot of time and you really need to be very good friends with the postal staff to let you rummage through their stocks!).

I would really love to hear from you on your own findings. Acknowledgements will be given.

By the way, on acknowledgements, it really irks me that some of my photos have been used without acknowledgement in other sites. I love sharing openly rather than watermarking my photos (and spoiling the image). Thus if you want to use the photo, just put an acknowledgement. Philately should be an open hobby.

I found new Prince William & Kate emblem sheetlets. They are at significantly reduced prices but not able to come down below 3 digits. Check it out here.
