This issue has been postponed for a while. Here is an excerpt from my 02 July 2013 update on the background of some of the stamp issues:

“I guess you need to define “local bank” as in Peninsula Malaysia local bank or East Malaysia “local bank”. I am sure it does not include the foreign owned local branch banks in this definition. I guess with all the newspaper advertisement, the guess is RHB Bank (who bought up Kwong Yik Bank) and the definition refers to the Peninsula Malaysia local bank.

Updated 25 November 2013:

There were some RHB employees today buying the stamps and folders. The first batch of folders ran out at 11:00 am and was indented from the store. Seems like the folder is quite popular (and nice).

Pos Malaysia (GPO Dayabumi) was kind enough to provide red and the normal black ink for the cancellation! Red certainly looks great on the cover.

After months of planning, here is the FDC I made with Jalan Tun H.S. Lee (the branch opened by the Tunku shown on the stamp) cancelled on the actual centenary (15 July 2013) as well as 23 November 2013 in Kuala Lumpur (red and black cancels), Sungai Wang Plaza (nearest Pos Malaysia from RHB Centre) and Corporate Mail Centre inside RHB Centre in Jalan Tun Razak. This is the most complete set.
