Locals go International

In an announcement on a pop-up in Pos Malaysia website, the domestic stamps will be allowed to be used on international mail.

Beginning 01 October 2016, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be charged on stamps. Currently stamps are exempted but miniature sheets and other philatelic products are charged with GST.
However, a separate class of stamps called International (Antarabangsa) stamps will be on sale without GST.

Thus the concern on the local stamps (especially the new issues) to be used on international mail is addressed.
