Today marks ASEAN’s 50th Anniversary and the release of a stamp in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia and Laos. Thus far Brunei and Myanmar have not released any information. Each postal authority will receive each others’ stamps and will be sold in special packs. Stay tuned.
The crowd for the ASEAN 50th Anniversary was healthy. Perhaps the single stamp is affordable. However, at the opening of the Philatelic Bureau, the queue was the longest at the setenant sheet sales counter.
Two setenant sheets were released today. They are the Sarawak River Transport and the Festival Food Series 1: Chinese Food.
The special highlight today is the presence of both the MRT and ASEAN 50th Anniversary designers.
Here is Tantia Ayunny binti Mohd Ridzuan from Hazel Design autographing the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN in the morning.
The ASEAN 50th Anniversary stamp sheets were sold out by around 10:00 am.
The MRT Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line designer, Mr Johan bin Izham Jamalulil, came over at about 09:25 am to start his autograph session. Mr Johan is from MRT Corp.
How was the response in your location?

Hello Suhaili, the nearest Philatelic Bureau or calling the HQ is best. Telephone number: 03 2267 2000 / 2001 / 2002 or email to filateli@pos.com.my
