Finally the Thailand 2013 World Stamp Exhibition is here. Pos Malaysia’s Exhibition Miniature Sheet (it is not an overprint since it is a redesign) is probably this year’s more anticipated issue. Pos Malaysia brought it in at RM 9.00 (coverted) a piece! Meanwhile PSM covers will only be on sale on Monday! (Updated info: Arrived on the 5th day (06 August 2013) and selling at RM 4.40 for a blank cover.) This is to ensure that the first day exhibition PSM covers can be marketed to support the association.
Here are some pictures from the World Stamp Exhibition:
Here is the main hall entrance and stage.
This is the Pos Malaysia counter with a nice large poster of the miniature sheet.
Look closely, it is actually 3 banner put together! Nicely done!
Here is the exhibition:
As usual I made some covers. I hunted high and low for the original Royal Visit blank covers at not so cheap prices. The covers are cancelled with all the cancellations that you will want on site!
Here is the exhibition cover:
As usual I have limited pieces on sale (once sold, that is it).
Updated 10 August 2013 listing links:
I guess by now you would have found that there are limit number of FDCs made on the first day. So first come, first sold!
If you are in Malaysia, it is very much cheaper to buy via eBay.com.my than from eBay.com. I have reserved some stocks for Malaysian collectors.
Exhibition First Day Cover: http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/360715547658?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 (last 3 covers)
Miniature sheets (the exhibition price is much higher than face value!): http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/281148837780?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 (last 3 pieces from Bangkok)
You can also find the same at myfdc52200. Same stuff just different customer base. By the way, you can combine items from both sites. One flat postage fee.
Price differential due to the seller’s fee and PayPal various transaction fees. They probably make more than me on the transaction!
Miniature sheets (best deal if purchasing at least 2 MS – you can do the math): http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/360718576493?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Local prices + 6 % PayPal fees. Registered postage USD 6.50. If you love paying fees, you can use eBay.com 🙂
After listing ends, just search using keywords: “Thailand 2013 Malaysia” and the items should come out.
NEW: Set of the original Miniature Sheet and Thailand 2013 Miniature Sheet at an affordable starting bid: http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/Thailand-2013-Exhibition-Overprint-and-Royal-Visit-Miniature-Sheets-MNH-Malaysia-/360711661360?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53fc172730 <sold>
I also have the Singapore Exhibition Cover and Korea Post (no stamp) cover and postcard. If you are a Malaysian buyer, just drop me a note rather than bid. I can combine with your eBay Malaysia purchase. Here are the visuals:
All items will be sent on 12 August 2013 as I figured that anything I send out on Monday will be the same as last year: stuck somewhere in the postal chain due to long Hari Raya Holidays!
NOTE: An eBay seller from Kepong took my image to list his MS. It has a watermark GS. Beware, it is NOT my stock.
Updated 04 August 2013
For those of you who came in late and is wondering what is all the fuss about the MS, I have compiled back the links to some of the more interesting articles of the original stamp issue. Hope you enjoy reading them as mush as I have enjoyed writing them.
The Royal Pacific Tour series of posts
I have some stocks left for the Tuvalu set:
Here are the balance of my stocks for the Singapore folder:
The original Royal Visit and the now famous printing errors series of posts

Updated 01 September 2013:
Pos Malaysia has sent out the order forms for the Thailand 2013 miniature sheets to SODA members. The price is RM 5.00 for each miniature sheet. You should receive the forms by next week (those around the Klang Valley probably would have received the forms). As usual there are no covers.
