The 150 Years Straits Settlements stamps were finally released on 05 September 2017 after the original date of 04 September 2017 was declared a Public Holiday in recognition of the good performance by the Malaysian contingent to the SEA Games.
The crowd was light with the attendance of the regulars.
This time there was no setenant sheets being issued. However there were 2 order forms:
1. Malaysian Serama RM 3 MS overprinted with Bandung 2017 (selling at RM 3.00) and on Exhibition Cover (selling at RM 3.50).
2. ASEAN Post Collection (selling at RM 20.00) and Scented Flowers Series 2 setenant sheet (selling at RM 13.80).
All prices are before GST.

Meanwhile up north in Penang, the early morning rain did not dampen the spirit of the collectors. This time Pos Malaysia was ready with additional stocks in anticipation of the stronger demand. In addition, 2 chops were prepared for their use. The Penang Philatelic Society covers were also available via the society.
This issue will match nicely with the Penang and Melaka cancellations. In addition, the Singapore FDC will match nicely with the Malaysia issue.

Brunei and Myanmar do not have any news.
