In a well organised event, SMJK Yu Hua Kajang launched the centenary commemorative stamps on 02 March 2018, a day ahead of the stamp issue date of 03 March 2018. However, since 03 March 2018 is a Saturday, the stamps will only be sold on 05 March 2018. Do take note that 05 March 2018, the school is not open.
The products are:
- 3 x 60 sen stamps – 305,000 pieces of each design
- RM 5.00 MS – 35,000 pieces
- 50 sen blank envelopes – 40,000 pieces
- RM 6.00 empty folders – 7,000 pieces of which 2,000 will be sold to the public
- 3 x RM 1.00 postcards – quantities not available
The designer is an ex-student, Seow Jing Ying.
The good news is that the SODA members will be able to get a special “Sekolah Yu Hua, Kajang” cancellation. Another matching cancellation is from the Kajang Post Office Philatelic Bureau branch which will read “Kajang”.
