Yup, Bank Negara Malaysia finally announced that the Putrajaya coins will be on sale ONLINE starting from 12 October 2020. This will be a good match for the Putrajaya stamp issue. There will be many who are trying to make a hole in the FDC after that! 😉
Why so?
Well, an area of interest is the Philatelic Numismatic Cover (PNC). These are covers with a coin inserted in the middle. Sometimes an official medallion is used.
Any you will have plenty of time to round up all the identity cards of your whole neighbourhood, family and friends to order as the closing date is 30 October 2020! It will be by balloting thus it does not make any difference if you order on the first or last day. However, make sure if the identify card you used gets the balloted item, the person can collect the item during the notified collection date!

Oooo, by the way, on the same day the 50th Anniversary of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) coins will also be on sale…..doubles your expenses if you are buying both. So far the UKM stamp issue did not materialise. Who knows if it comes out even if Setemku???
