Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) announced via a Press Release that the company is collaborating with the national COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF), to further drive registration and spread the awareness of the COVID-19 vaccination nationwide.
The collaboration which supports the nation’s #LindungDiriLindungSemua Immunisation programme also prompted Pos Malaysia to launch its own campaign called Bersama Mencegah COVID-19, in support of the government’s effort to further reach out to the public in instilling awareness and educating the urban and rural communities to register for the immunisation through the MySejahtera application and offline channels available.
The collaboration was announced by Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Coordinating Minister for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme, YB Khairy Jamaluddin in Putrajaya today (31 March 2021).
Pos Malaysia was represented by the Group Chief Executive Officer, Syed Md Najib bin Syed Md Noor and Chief Executive Officer of Postal Services, Mohamed Rozaidi Md Sharif.
Pos Malaysia will support CITF by disseminating the COVID-19 vaccine information to drive registration through distribution of flyers by its riders and informative posters at all Pos Malaysia post offices and outlets nationwide. This should be of philatelic interest as these will match well with the future Frontliner stamps.
The Bersama Mencegah COVID-19 campaign will also see Pos Malaysia appreciate the commitment and sacrifices of the nation’s frontliners who are tirelessly serving the nation during the pandemic through the launch of an exclusive COVID-19 frontliner stamp series. Pos Malaysia will channel part of the proceeds from the sale of this collection for the purchase of vaccination needles, which would further support the national immunisation programme. The launch date for the stamp series and other related information will be announced by Pos Malaysia soon. So stay tuned for the confirmation of the date of sale.
