Well a lot of people have been asking what is this overprint?
KESEF is an initiative by Pos Malaysia to promote philately in schools. KESEF stands for Kelab Setem & Filateli. In the past events, certain schools will issue their own Personalised Stamps (Setem Ku) for the event. It was only in 2016 that was first recorded a nationwide use of KESEF Setem Ku.
The overprint first started selling in the Southern Zone KESEF event in SMK Seri Pulai Perdana in Johor Bahru. The event saw the overprint, a special event cancellation plus a passport being issued. There were not covers. The best use would be the school covers.
The second place where the overprint was sold was on 24 September 2024 in SMK Merbok near Sungai Petani who was the Northern Zone host.
