Yesterday’s Feast

Yesterday saw the release of the second Festival Food Series stamps. The turn out was lower than Series 1.

The design is still attractive and there is a consistent look and feel. Characteristics: (1) a buffet spread what makes a nice joined design, (2) basically a round shaped MS and (3) a special die-cut empty folder with a food cover locally called a “tudung saji”. The designer is Mr KY Lim from Reign Associates. He came early as usual to start the autograph session. This time more collectors brought the older issues designed by Mr KY Lim to be autographed.

I am looking forward to Series 3 and Series 4 coming out later this year. A full set of 4 MS will look great in my album.

Meanwhile, I was off to look for bamboo for Manuk Pansuh (Chicken cooked in Bamboo). Hint:

There is one other match for the Kadazandusun. The adventure took me deep into the Felda Estates. The interesting thing is that this is the first mini post office with a sorting and delivery section!

How was the response in your place?

  1. Pejabat Pos Mini Sungai Dusun. The other name is Felda Soeharto.
If you coming from KL heading north using NSE, there is Bukit Tagar exit and going northward through Felda Sg. Tengi before reaching there.

The non-tollways version is adventurous especially state road B44 from Tanjung Malim side.
