The Putrajaya Iconic Buildings issue date was chosen to match the 25th Anniversary of Putrajaya (Silver Jubilee) on 29 August 2020. Putrajaya became a Federal Territory on 01 February 2001.
The stamps will be on sale on 10 September 2020. The information on the SODA statements showed a set of RM 1.30 stamps in 5 designs. I wonder will it be in setenant or in 5 different sheets – scroll further down for some hints…..
The quantities released are:
- RM 1.30 stamps: 250,000 pieces per design
- 50 sen blank envelopes: 30,000 pieces
- RM 6.00 empty folder
This time there is no Miniature Sheet.
The stamps were again designed by Encik Kamarul Ariffin Abdul Hanan from Pos Malaysia.
The buildings featured are Seri Gemilang Bridge, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, Palace of Justice (Istana Kehakiman), Putrajaya Corporation (Perbadanan Putrajaya) and Perdana Putra Complex.
The most concordant cancellation is definitely Putrajaya Post Office! Anyway there is a pictorial philatelic cancellation in the post office.

RM 10 silver coins – 1,000 pieces (RM 253 including 10% Sales and Services Tax)
RM 1 nordic gold coins – 15,000 pieces (RM 13.20 including 10% Sales and Services Tax)
Set of 2 – 1,000 pieces (RM 308 including 10% Sales and Services Tax)

I am sure this set of stamps will be hot since the numismatic collector and philatelist will want to match them and probably create a Philatelic Numismatic Cover (PNC).
