A Commercial Customer Pos Daftar and Flexiprepaid

On 12 October 2020, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) put on sale the Putrajaya and UKM commemorative coins online: https://myfdc.me/2020/10/12/12-october-2020-date-of-sale-of-putrajaya-and-ukm-coins/

This time, the successful ballot orders were posted to the buyers. In the BNM ordering system it was stated as courier.

From 23 November 2020 onwards, the packages started to arrive. This was as per the schedule announced in the ordering system.

The packages arrived in Flexiprepaid packages. These Flexiprepaid packages were different to those sold to the public.

Here is a closer look at the differences:

  1. The public version has patterns printed and has a bubble wrap inside. The BNM version is just a flyer plastic.
  2. The back of the public version is printed and the back of the BNM version is plain and required an identification sticker.
  3. The tracking number is also different. The public version has the tracking number in 3 similar stickers with the prefix FE and suffix MY. The BNM version is a sticker with the word Pos Malaysia | Daftar with the prefix FB and suffix MY.

Here is a closer look of the BNM Flexiprepaid Registration Label. It would have been a collector’s item had the printing not been thermal ink which will fade in due time. It seems BNM uses an Imprest System with Pos Malaysia for these deliveries.

Notice the sender is bnmhq and the address, postcode and telephone number are all BNM. The item being shipped is identified as UKM-SS-0079 which I can infer as UKM commemorative coins, Single Silver and the tracking of quantity number.

Drop me a note if you have other prefixes (i.e. other than FB).
