With the latest announcement that the Movement Control Order has been extended to 14 April 2020, the Malaysia Stamp Issue Schedule will be further impacted. Recap of the last tentative schedule that we received:
1. Visit Malaysia Year 2020
Visit Malaysia Year 2020 has already been cancelled and was announced on 19 March 2020: https://www.tourism.gov.my/media/view/cancellation-of-visit-malaysia-2020-vm2020-campaign-and-guest-stay-at-tourist-accommodation-premises-throughout-the-movement-control-order-mco
Here is the original Visit Malaysia Year site: https://www.tourism.gov.my/campaigns/view/visit-malaysia-year
It makes the logos of the Visit Malaysia Year tabs to be really special. Read about all the logo tabs: https://myfdc.me/2020/02/21/is-the-next-issue-visit-malaysia-year-2020/
2. APEC 2020 MALAYSIA
2 days earlier on 17 March, an announcement was released by Ministry of International Trade and Industry on the postponement on some APEC meetings in April to June 2020. The decision will be reassessed in May 2020. https://www.myapec2020.my/en/postponement-of-upcoming-asia-pacific-economic-cooperation-apec-ministerial-meetings/
It leaves behind 2 good filler issues: National Definitive Series – Iconic Marine Life and Wild Flowers of Malaysia Series 3.
Thus is looks like the Malaysia Stamp Issue Schedule might only resume realistically end April or May 2020?
Will there be a COVID-19 commemorative stamp? Setem Ku?
When will a new schedule be released?
When we are all back, the queues will not be the same again….. 1 metre social distancing. Sitting far apart….. etc.

ps: I wonder if anything was produced for Visit Malaysia Year 2020?
