12 October 2020: Latest Updated 2020 Malaysia Stamp Schedule Programme

Today, Pos Malaysia issued a revised stamp schedule.

Among the notable changes are:

  1. Malaysia Day has been rescheduled to 27 October 2020. However with the sudden announcement and restrictions on travel in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya in the Conditional Movement Control Order from 14 – 27 October 2020, the question is, will it affect the date again?
  2. World Post Day is on 05 November 2020.
  3. Stamp Week 2020 has been dropped from the list which I think is a prudent move as it will not create a philatelic cluster with so many coming over!

My concern is the packed December with 4 stamp issues. Would it not be practical to have some of these which are not time dependent (since they are not commemorative) to be moved to 2021?

The other issues saw a lot of date changes. In the current COVID-19 situation, it is hard to plan to take leave. Perhaps it is best to just do what we can.

Stay health and see you all!
