Hidden Treasures of Malaysia – Islands

Pos Malaysia announced that the next issue will be released as per the tentative Malaysia Stamp Issue Schedule on 05 August 2021.

The upcoming Hidden Treasures of Malaysia – Islands will comprise of:

1. 70 sen: Pulau Rawa, Johor
2. 80 sen: Pulau Lang Tengah, Terengganu
3. RM 1.90: Pulau Lakei, Sarawak
4. RM 5.00 Miniature Sheet: Pulau Bohey Dulang, Sabah
5. 50 sen: Blank cover
6. RM 6.00: Empty Folder

This time each denomination is issued in sheetlets of 10 stamps. This is a departure from the setenants that we have seen for quite sometime. The Miniature Sheet has a special embossed and lacquered effect on the Bohey Bulang Island and title. This will be a welcome to collectors of special effect / unusual Miniature Sheets.

The most concordant locations are:

1. Mersing Post Office
2. Petronas Merang Mini Post Office (if still in operation), Besut or Kuala Terengganu Post Office
3. Pending Post Office or Kuching General Post Office
4. Semporna Post Office or Lahad Datu Post Office
