Next Official Stamp Issue: 18 June 2020 and an Updated Malaysia Stamp Issue Schedule Programme

Finally, what all the stamp collectors have been waiting for! The updated Malaysia Stamp Issue Schedule! Since the Recovery Movement Control Order came into effect, there are significantly more relaxation and businesses have since been able to operate with more leeway.

Thus far during the initial Movement Control, Pos Malaysia only released Personalised Stamps (Setem Ku) for:

  1. Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri
  2. Hari Gawai and Pesta Kaamatan

Pos Malaysia has surprisingly continued the release of official stamps as early as next week on 18 June 2020 with the Iconic Marine Life National Definitive Series!

Compared with the last schedule dated 28 February 2020: https://myfdc.me/2020/02/28/28-february-2020-updated-malaysia-stamp-schedule/

Dropped issues are:

  1. Visit Malaysia Year 2020
  2. APEC 2020
  3. Hidden Treasures of Malaysia – Islands
  4. Malaysian Street Art
  5. World’s Tallest Tree – Sabah
  6. Grand Knight of Valour
  7. Historical Literature – UNESCO

Newly added is: Rukun Negara 50 Years

The number of issues have been trimmed from 18 to 12. The long awaited Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Special Edition Series 4 issue is still on! This is very much awaited by the collectors.

Meanwhile, I am looking forward to Durians!

I wonder how is the queue in the new standard operating procedure? I am sure the queue will reach the ATM machine again like the old days, except this is due to the 1 metre gap? Let’s see.

Time to update your calendar!

Keep healthy and welcome back Pos Malaysia Philatelic Bureau!
